The new IKEA catalog is out. And to promote it, there is a commercial on TV. In the house, chaos abounds. But in the center of the storm is a moment of calm, where the mother/wife is reading the IKEA catalog. Clearly transported to the faraway land of Swedish make-believe.
The part that gets me is in the fine print at the bottom of the screen.
"Some items require assembly"
And while this is true (I don't think the vase or rug will need to be put together), it doesn't convey the whole truth.
What truth, you may ask. That it's no treat putting items together using directions that don't have words and I swear the pictures are in a foreign language. No Swedish bliss here.
