Ornament

Twas a few days before Christmas . . . I realized Doug and I hadn't gotten Kate an ornament for this year.  I know, another notch on my 'bad parent' belt. As if I care.

I was at Lowe's and saw this cute picture frame ornament.  Didn't realize until I got home that the wording under the picture, "Made in the USA" was actually a permanent part of the ornament.  I was just figuring it to be a decal one could remove.

Good thing I had some marker-paint that I could use to 'fix' it.  It now says "2009".

When I was wrapping Kate's presents, I didn't have quite enough scrap to wrap this present.  But I wrapped it anyhow!  I figured that 1) she's too little to know any better and 2) it's sort of funny!

Christmas dress

Kate in her Christmas dress.  Will she hold still long enough for a good picture?

The tights did not make it all the way to church.  She decided she wanted them OFF.  And was mad that she couldn't get them off easily they way she can take off her tights.  So we switched to leggings and socks, which was apparently acceptable.

Trip to Oregon

A quick sampling of our trip.  Kate dressed as Elmo:

Marla and Owen on the Carosel

Kate on her first ride.  Which she wasn't really sure about until the last 30 seconds, when she decided she LOVED it and wanted 'more'.  This picture also shows how tired she was.  It was just before nap time AND she had a cold a didn't sleep well the night before.

But here, while it's not immediately obvious, she is having a lot more fun.

19-month self portrait

I'm finally getting caught up on blogging, so get ready for things from the past month.  But first, and most recent, our 19 month self-portrait.
