Earlier in the week, I gave my algebra students 2 minutes to get out paper/ pencil. At the end of the 2 minutes students who didn't have the supplies out were sent to "Time Out". It's kind of like an during the school day detention. While students are there, they have to fill out a paper about why they were sent there and what they might do to prevent future "Time Out"s.
This student response is just hilarious. Tragic, but damn funny. It's best if you read it out loud.
"What did you do to be sent to Time Out?"
She told us to get paper out and I dont gots none so I ask this Russian kid for some and he like didnt understand me and she sent me for this which is dumb!
