Earlier in the month, we walked onto the Whidbey Island ferry to visit some of Doug's friends. Kate loves riding the ferry; running around on the deck and keeping her face to the wind.

Most of the time she ran in the water parallel to the water. But once she decided to run straight in. Lost her footing, and I had to run in after her to keep her from drowning. She was mostly just surprised that she got all wet. Fortunately, SHE had a change of clothes. Unlike her mother who spent the rest of the afternoon with wet jeans.
And the, she passed out on the couch when we got home.

Final note: most of the baby quilts I've made have been grounded in blues and greens. Even when I knew the gender of the baby. So when I went to the store, I thought to myself: Branch out. Try something new. Don't get blue and green. Ha ha. You can see how well THAT worked out.
